I love Pumpkins.
In the soup, in a pie. Oh how wonderful pumpkins are.
Besides that, it doesn’t hurt that they are great to use as fall decorations around your home. And another bonus, you can DIY with pumpkins!
Obviously, you can carve your pumpkins, but let me say one word:
Yes, it can be messy, but it’s fun.
Let’s play with mini pumpkins and glitter! I can’t wait.
Paint the mini pumpkins with black acrylic paint. Don’t forget about the stems.
Let them dry thoroughly.
- Apply Mod Podge
Next, pour Mod Podge on top. Move it all around the bottom of the stem.
Slowly add more so it starts to drip over the pumpkins ribs. While holding the pumpkins, gently move and turn them to help the Mod Podge to flow.
- Sprinkle Glitter
And now for the part we’ve all been waiting for.
While the Mod Podge is still wet, generously sprinkle glitter all over.
- Shake it Off
Finally, when the Mod Podge has dried, gently shake off any excess glitter.
Use a small brush to wipe away glitter around the drips.
All Done! These are sparkly fall decorations to treasure for years to come. Mine are going on the fireplace mantel. Pretty!
Real pumpkins can be used instead of faux pumpkins, but you won't be able to decorate with them next fall.
